Part time Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator
Key responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced, self-driven Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator. You will be responsible for all bookkeeping and accounting within the company, including administrative support to the CATS³ team.

We are looking for an experienced, self-driven Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator. You will be responsible for all bookkeeping and accounting within the company, including administrative support to the CATS³ team.
Main responsibilities include – but are not restricted to:
- Generally, all aspects of accounting and book keeping required in a small company
- Monitoring accounts receivable and payable, company card transactions, cash flow
- VAT, PAYE, inputs to payroll
- Working with SAGE Accounts
- Annual business plan, tax and R&D costs
- Management accounts; assisting with the year-end financial statements for our auditors
- Generating quotations, order processing: acknowledgement, ordering parts online, delivery notes, packaging goods, manage shipments with couriers, including exports/imports, invoicing, proof of delivery
- Support Contracts – ongoing and future order management
- Manage stock through SAGE, including ordering, regular stocktaking, returns etc.
- Monthly reporting – sourcing/updating data from various sources
- Data entry to maintain customer database
- Sorting and directing post as required
- Office site management: liaison with service providers, e.g. internet, electricity, security, landlord etc. Organisation of regulatory compliance, e.g., PAT testing, fire safety etc.
- Providing general administrative support as needed
Experience required
- The role requires an experienced and thorough book keeper who is hands-on and not afraid to help out with any task that is required of them
- Strong administration and computer skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel),
- Good working knowledge in Sage 50 accounting software.
- Computer literate – comfortable with learning new software
- Previous experience in a financial role
- Qualified to AAT Level 3 with 3+ years’ experience
- Good oral and written communication and strong administration skills
- Driver’s licence and own car
- Mostly office based in Southam. Occasional home working. Can be flexible - details to be agreed
- Car parking on site
- AAT level 3
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience
- Annual salary £24,000 equivalent – pro-rata (i.e. £12,000 p.a.)
- Part time (20 hours per week)
- Annual holidays: 23 days + 8 bank holidays plus statutory sick leave
- After 3 years services, the 23 annual holidays grow by 1 day per year up to 28 days
- Company Pension: CATS3contribution - 3% of annual salary; employee contribution - 5% of annual salary
